It’s not like the random Night fighting roll makes it that mutch harder on a tournament.

Everyone can play a point and shoot army, and there are plenty of things in the codexes to help you in a Nightfight battle

Hey Louis,

Thanks for the feedback! We just wanted people to think about their armylists differently a little bit, and thought it would add to the challenge. Up to you to rise up to the occasion and come out of your comfort zone a little bit. Same goes for everyone, and it is a little late to make changes since we already have received quite a lot of lists. You CAN prepare for the eventuality, so up to you to make decisions in army selection and how you will play the game.

Hey Tom, i’d just like to say i like the new version, but i’d like to insist on the scratching of the random night-fight determination. Randomness is bad. The game has built-in randomness to it (D6 system, random game length, etc.) and doesn’t need TO’s adding in more. The aim is of course to have fun, but a tournament’s idea is to let people compete against eachother. Nothing sucks more than a random dice roll which you have no control over swinging the game in favor of your opponent (or in yours, which is bad for your opponent) before it’s even started. Everything else, whilst based on dice, you and your opponent can stop. You also know random game length kicks in at Turn 5 so you must prepare for the game to end then whilst also going on, etc…
